Lancashire Trading Standards operate the Safe Trader Scheme.

The idea was to give customers some protection and reassurance that they are dealing with reputable traders.

In order to join the scheme, business’s must demonstrate that they have all relevant licenses and insurances. They must also abide by the trading standards as set out on the scheme.

In the event of any disputes that cannot be resolved between the company and the customer, Trading Standards will step in and make a decision which the company must abide by.
