Its important you understand that disposing of waste legally is not cheap! We are often undercut by man and van operators who are unlicenced, uninsured and unethical. Waste transported by these operators often ends up fly tipped.

Who Can Legally Remove Your Rubbish?
Clear This are licenced reliable and trusted waste carriers. They hold public liability insurance of two million pounds. Operating a “Zero to Landfill” policy, the business emphasises maximum recycling and re-use of as much as possible.
When you are looking to have any rubbish removed, its important to check that the company has the correct licence.
The Environment Agency has a public register of all licenced waste carriers but, not all waste carriers licences are equal. Choosing a company that has the correct licence will protect you in the event of the waste being fly tipped.
The lower tier waste licences begin with the letters CBDL which is issued to business’s transporting their own business generated waste. The holders of this licence cannot charge you to remove your waste. It is illegal for them and for you too.
The Upper tier carriers licence begins with CBDU. This is the only licence that allows companies to charge to remove any waste for you.

Did you know your Local Authority usually provides a bulky waste collection service ? This service is only for domestic properties.
For example Chorley Borough Council provide a service where they charge £24.50 for 1 item, £49 for 2 to 5 items and up to 10 items for £98.
This could save you a lot of money if your items include Upholstered furniture, Mattresses or Refrigerators and Freezers.

Fixed Price Disposal Costs
The following extra charges only apply to unusable items for disposal.
If a fridge for example is useable and tidy, we will not add this surcharge, the same applies to upholstered furniture and full gas bottles. There will be a cost involved in removing them but there may also be some value in the item to reduce the cost.
Mattresses
Dry Mattresses any size
- Dry means not left outside and soaked.
- Includes Proper disposal and recycling
- Soiled Mattresses will be Covered before removal.
Fridges
And Freezers
- Normal Single Width ones up to 6ft 6″ tall.
- The Large American ones are £130.00 each
- Safely Disposed of and properly recycled
Upholstered
Old Unuseable Sofas, Chairs, Recliners
- These are classes a POP’s. Persistent Organic Pollutants.
- Specialist Disposal Required for these items.
- 3 Piece Suite charged as 3 items for
Gas Bottles
Calor Bottles etc
- These can be taken to your local Recycling Centre for Free
- Or try to return them to the company on the bottle
- Classed as Hazardous due to being pressurised.
Vehicle Tyres
Priced on size
- Normal Car Tyres are the lowest priced
- Your local Household Waste recycling centre don’t charge.
- Large Truck / Tractor tyres are £165 each.
CRT Television
Including Monitors
- CRT Means Cathode Ray Tube. The old glass tubes
- These contain many hazardous elements and chemicals
- One price will cover any size of television/ monitor
