How it Works.
When you contact Lancashire House Clearance, we’ll ask you a few questions. A date and time will be booked to come and give you a quote.
We will come and give you a price for your house clearance. Once we have worked out the cost by volume, any value in the contents will be deducted from the cost.
In other words, we try to get the contents to pay as much of the cost as possible. The majority of value tends to be in small items as opposed to furniture.
Some customers make a start on the clearance themselves and only want us to clear the larger items. This is fine but it reduces the chance of the cost being reduced.
Safe Trader Members
Lancashire House Clearance are members of the Lancashire County Council’s Trading Standards, Safe Trader Scheme.
This offers an added layer of protection to our customers.
Whether it be house clearance or rubbish removal, the Safe Trader Scheme will hold us accountable if we were to act in an unsuitable manner or treat our customers unfairly.
The following is from The Safe Trader Website:-
The Scheme is operated by Lancashire County Council Trading Standards Service and provides consumers with a list of local businesses who have committed to trade fairly and honestly.
The Scheme covers all aspects of home improvement and repair work, including building, carpentry, external property repairs, gardening, decorating and home security.
We also include trades that assist elderly and vulnerable people maintain their independence such as cleaners, dog walkers, mobility suppliers and shoppers.
Whilst Lancashire County Council do not “approve” the traders on the Scheme, checks are carried out on the business prior to inclusion on the Scheme.
This includes a visit to their business premises and additional checks to ensure they comply with relevant legislation.
They must have necessary insurance policies in place and be members of any regulatory bodies they are legally required to be registered with.
Businesses are also required to have been trading for a minimum of 12 months and before being admitted on the Scheme businesses are required to agree to abide by the Code of Practice of the Scheme.
